Steemit Chatは他のSteemianと会話するためのSteemitユーザー専用webサイトである。また、ヘルプを入手してSteemit記事へのリンクを一覧することができる。
Steemit ChatはSteemit（右上）のドロップダウンメニューからアクセスすることができる。

2017年6月20日および21日に幾人かのユーザーが接続できなくなる問題を報告した。Steemianの@noemilunastortaは問題についての記事を作り、@gogogadgetは不正なゲートウェイのエラーメッセージのスクリーンキャプチャを投稿し[2]、@dowithloveはハードフォーク19の実装の影響なのではないかと疑問を呈した。[3]その後すぐの6月22日、@riverheadは新規ユーザーの流入のもとでサーバに負荷がかかり、ギブアップしていたことを明らかにした。アップデートの手順を説明した後、彼は言った：「私はサービスプロバイダと協力して、将来の負荷とスケールを適切に処理できる協力なサーバへと移行し、オンラインに復帰します」[1]6月23日、サービスはDNSの更新まで新しいサーバアドレスにてオンラインに復帰した。[4]
