@jaybird is the steemit.com alias of Jay Sussman, a Toronto based Music Composer, Performer and Educator with over 15 years of professional experience playing the drums.
He holds a M.A. in Music Composition and a H.B.F.A. in Music Performance from York University Faculty of Music. Currently, Jay records and performs with countless live music ensembles, encompassing a multitude of genres. He has been teaching privately since 2000, at Cosmo School of Music 2005 and, from 2009-2011 he taught Jazz Percussion at York University’s Faculty of Music. Currently, he composes and performs compositions for various media related purposes including, film and videogame soundtracks, documentary movies and for live choreographed dances.
