Is it proper - and if it's accurate, is it really helpful to new users - to call Steemd the "official" client?

The article states that "The official client for STEEM is known as Steemd."

How exactly is it the "official" client? Steemit Inc have built Steemit, correct? So why couldn't it be considered just as official?

The point of Steem is that it doesn't require an official front end, so does this mean that there's something in SteemD that makes it more essential than that?

Hi, until we don't have the position of the page creator about your questions I changed the info from "The official client" to "One popular client". What do you think? Thanks for the comments! --Wagnertamanaha (talk) 11:38, 6 February 2017 (EST)

Can we please change the article name to something which is a bit more grammatically correct? --Alterna (talk) 05:13, 20 May 2018 (EDT)
