Seguidores são as pessoas que decidem por seguir você na comunidade Steemit e ver seus posts em seu feed. Você pode ver a lista de pessoas que estão lhe seguindo clicando no link "followers" em sua página do perfil.Quanto mais seguidores você tiver, maiores são as chances de conseguir uma quantidade maior de votos e de exposição de seu post. Uma técnica conhecida para aumentar seus followers é a de acessar a tag #introduceyourself e fazer contato com os novos membros, fortalecendo assim sua rede de seguidores, porém com cautela para não se tornar um spamer e ganhar flag ao postar mensagens automáticas e evasivas, tais como: "-Belo post, estou te seguindo, me siga também".
